A PARANORMAL research group is set to swoop into Warrington to uncover spooky goings-on at three historic – and allegedly haunted – sites.

Members of Further On Paranormal, based in Manchester, travel around the UK investigating reports of the unusual and the unexplained.

From April 18 to 20, FOP will host three evenings of live paranormal investigations at the Ring O’ Bells, Daresbury, the Bluebell, on Horsemarket Street, and the Ring O’ Bells, on Church Street.

FOP’s founder and head medium Todd Hand, who grew up in Stockton Heath, said: “As a group we are not looking to prove or disprove the paranormal but to gain more of an understanding surrounding this popular subject and where possible obtain evidence that things do exist in the afterlife.

“I don’t like to compare what we do to TV’s Most Haunted. ”

The FOP team has been together for seven years and is made up of three mediums, three trainee mediums, first aiders, qualified health and safety practitioners and a technical team.

It conducts its investigations on a purely voluntary basis, working with charities where possible and during investigations the group uses infrared cameras to broadcast live via the internet.

Those who attend the Warrington events could be asked to take part in experiments including spirit boards, a séance or vigils in pairs if they are feeling particularly brave.

Tickets for the investigations are available from the three venues and Todd, aged 33, added: “This is a unique opportunity to uncover the history of Warrington and its former residents and experience a realm not normally available to the general public.”
