Knypersley Vics - 1 Sandwell Borough - 1

KNYPERSLEY Victoria's first match of the season, ended in a draw at Sandwell Borough despite their domination.

Returning Steve Elkes took his place in the heart of Vic's defence and new signing Andrew Brownsword made his debut.

Within the first 15 minutes, Dutton and Rafferty both put chances over the bar, created by superb balls from midfielder James.

Straight from the restart, Vics took the lead as Dutton headed home a corner at the far post flicked on by Wickes.

However Knypersley let it slip too easily and Borough equalised five minutes later when Willis hit the back of the net after a great run from full back Skitt.

After the hour mark, Rafferty missed a great chance to add to Knypersley score, when one-on-one with the keeper but his shot went just wide of the post.

This Saturday sees the Vics take on Bedworth in the FA cup at Kidsgrove Athletic's ground, kick off 3pm.

The following Tuesday, August 24, Knypersley entertain Stapenhill, kick off 7.45pm if no FA cup replay is needed.

Dutton grabbed his second goal in as many games in Knypersley's 1-1 home draw on Tuesday night.
