EIGHTEEN primary schools will open in Warrington on Friday but no high schools or special schools.

The schools have been closed due to the snow and freezing temperatures.

Open are Alderman Bolton, Appleton Thorn, Broomfields Juniors, Christ Church CE from 9.30am, Culcheth CP, Dallam, from 10am, Great Sankey, Newchurch, Oughtrington is open for staff but closed to pupils, St Lewis', St Monica's although the link club will close at 4.30pm, Stockton Heath, Stretton St Matthew's, The Cobbs Infants (the nursery is closed), Twiss Green, St Barnabas (nursery closed), Westbook Old Hall, Winwick CE, Woolston CE (the car park is closed).

Warrington Collegiate is closed and Priestley is open between 10am and 3pm.
