alderman bolton is open tomorrow (thursday) and I think its rediculous as i know they got a school trip planned to the theatre on a coach are they still planning on going in this weather? with the very dangerous road conditions i cant imagine the playground being cleaned from the snow which to me is a health and safety issue. Why is the school open? is it because they dont want to loose there depostit for the school trip? does anyone think the same as me? we have to think of the childrens safety first and not the politics. Am I the only one who is thinking of the safety of the children and parents and grandparents etc? I hope not

I agree with you,my children go to our Ladys but i will be keeping them home 2 moz, i walked passed the school 2 day and no attempt has been made 2 clear the paths out side or inside the school,so no saftey work has been done and my children will stay at home and i will phone in school 2 moz and tell them why i am not sending them in..

You walked past!!! and no safety work has been done... how did you walk past if it's that bad.

Makes me laugh.... people are worried about school playgrounds not being cleared but are more than happy to walk the steets and for their kids to be out and about sledging and having snowball fights :)

The danger with kids going to school is NOT the school playgrounds but in them getting there on all the ungritted roads and icy pavements.. 'If' they get to school they will be fine :)

health and safety over snow on the playground my ar$e, there was a time that kids were allowed to enjoy the snow

children can enjoy the snow at the risk of hurting them selves but then that is their parents responsibility to sort out when it comes to 30 children in a class and two teachers now thats a different story most parents and carerers only have two maybe three children to look after and if only two children then one parent has two hands to hold their children safetly down the street if needed to go for supplies to the shop. I am not saying keep children in but let them enjoy it but i just think the education department need to think if they have the abilitly to care for that many children especially as they are likely to have a lot more accidents but anyway my point was a school is opening and going on a school trip in a coach when the news stations all around the country are telling us NOT to travel in a car or bus or anything thats got wheels unless neccisary and a school is opening and taking their children on a school trip when everyone is being warned about going out in the car etc.

Could always wrap them up in cotton wool like our society seems to love doing, its no wonder the country is in the state its in with Risk Assesments every time you ****, bin men that can't pick things up and work forces that won't turn there hands to anything slightly strenuous if it is not in there remit. I am glad my kids School is open, all 3 will be walking to School with there Mother and if one of them slips over the others will laugh as they have been doing for the past 3 days. Warrington, get a grip its a bit of Snow!!!

Blame the idiot who decided, in the 90s that it was a good idea to lift the restrictions on solicitors touting their services - which lead to ambulance-chasers.co
.uk , "phone 0800 shyster" etc.

My daughters school was meant to be going to the panto at the Parr Hall too..but school is closed.I doubt very much that this trip will take place anyway as lots of other schools will miss out because of closure..and yes I'm sure we'll all get a refund..
