ASPIRING entrepreneurs at Great Sankey High School took part in a Women’s Enterprise Day to motivate women of all ages to turn their passions into profit.
Year nine girls staged an in-house workshop based on the hit TV show Blood, Sweat and T-shirts last Wednesday as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week to inspire women to make their ideas happen.
The girls made fair-trade designer T-shirts and investigated the world of ethical trading as part of the event.
Sarah Bevan Fischer, head of region north west Enterprise UK, said: “We are all really excited about the phenomenal rise in women’s enterprise across the North West region, especially considering the current difficult trading climate.”
Supporters of Global Entrepreneurship Week include singer and entrepreneur Beverly Knight, Top Table’s Karen Hanton, model and business women Caprice and Hillary Clinton.
