POLICE are trying to trace a gang who hijacked a man in his car and forced him to act as their getaway driver.
The incident happened at around 2.30pm on Saturday in the Whitecross Road area of Bewsey.
The victim, a 38-year-old man, was driving his blue Audi estate near to Warrington Hospital when three men got into his car.
They then forced him to drive them to the Lavendar Gardens area of Great Sankey where the trio burgled a house.
While there are no descriptions of the men it is believed that they spoke with Liverpudlian accents.
The victim was uninjured but left extremely shaken.
Police are appealing for witnesses to either the robbery of the car or the burglary to call either DC Steve Deehan or DC Paul Fitton on 0845 458000.
Alternatively, information can be left anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
