COULD Alexandra Burke be coming to town?
Nokia is holding a nationwide vote for people to compete to win an exclusive gig with the X Factor winner where they live.
Warrington is currently fifth, but if it tops the table by December then Alexandra Burke will perform here live.
Alexandra has teamed up with Nokia to promote her debut album, ‘Good Things’, which is due to hit stores this week.
A signpost the size of two London buses has been hung next to the capital’s iconic Tower Bridge to celebrate the launch of her album and the new Nokia N97 phone.
The 40ft long signpost asks people to send in the things they like about their town to nokia.co.uk/maps or by texting 62010 and entries may then be displayed high above London’s skyline.
Warringtonians may want to show Londoners their love for the Warrington Wolves, or celebrate Stockton Heath!
By entering, people will also be competing for their town to win an exclusive gig with the X Factor winner. The town with the most votes in proportion to its population will win- so Warrington certainly has as good a chance as any.
Voters will also be entered into a prize draw and could win a pair of tickets to the gig.
A Nokia spokesman said, “We think this will really get the whole country to share their good things and bring the great thing that is Alexandra Burke to their town.”
