Warrington Wolves fans get the boot from Briers

TWO Warrington Wolves fans showed their devotion to their team by gaining a very special momento of a very special season.

Jamie Trantum and Jenny Clarke, both aged 16 and from Orford, made a special poster asking for Lee Briers’ boots after the final home game of the season with Harlequins.

And the half back was only too happy to oblige. Jenny said: “I really wanted to help Jamie try to get the boots because he has been his idol.

“Jamie got a Warrington scholarship but just as he got it he dislocated his knee and in March, after not playing the sport he loves for a year, he had an ACL operation (major knee surgery) and is now recovering to try to get playing his sport again.

“Lee Briers has been his idol and really helped him pull through because he aspires to be him, so I really wanted to help him get them.”
