Councillors limber up for Warrington's first half marathon

THREE councillors will bring a new meaning to the phrase ‘running for office’.

Whittle Hall councillors Kevin Reynolds, Judith Wheeler and Keith Gleave will all be helping to raise money for charity as they take part in Warrington’s first half marathon.

The Liberal Democrat councillors will be raising money both for the Mayor of Warrington’s charity Warrington Charities Trust as well as a project in their ward.

Already in training for the English Half Marathon, which takes place on October 4, the councillors are putting the hard work in – but it is proving doubly difficult for them.

Keith said: “It’s finding the time to train. We have been at meetings all week and the warm weather hasn’t helped.”
