Ian Dillon and Linda Scott - an apology

IN the edition of the Warrington Guardian of July 17 we published an article on the sentencing of Darren Haddock and Stuart Howard on criminal charges of assaulting Ian Dillon.

The article alleged that the assault was sparked because of a relationship between Mr Dillon and Mr Haddock’s mother, Linda Scott.

We accept that the article did not accurately reflect what was said at the sentencing hearing and at no time has there ever been a relationship between Mr Dillon and Mrs Scott.

We apologise sincerely to Mr Dillon and Mrs Scott for the distress and embarrassment caused by the article.
