AN unidentified flying object has been sighted hovering over Asda Cockhedge.

The UFO was reported to be a deep red triangular shaped light with other lights surrounding the body of the craft.

Ann Bradley, aged 49, of Greenings Court, was with her son when they spotted the strange object in the sky at 9.13pm last night.

She said: “I know it wasn’t a plane or a helicopter. I’ve never seen anything like it before. It was gliding quickly across the sky and then it just disappeared.

“I don’t believe in anything like UFOs but this was really strange. It was changing shape and it seemed to go from being a triangular red light to a round shape, with lights moving around it.”

The pair were able to see the object for about 30 seconds before it vanished.

Did anyone else witness the UFO? Leave your comments below.

Just spotted this entry tonight about the ufo sighting, re "ufo cockhedge centre" strange as it may seem, but i witnessed a similar decribed craft hovering over the kerfoot st bridge on the 3/10/08 at 9.05pm, just over a week ago! at first i thought it was a plane approaching from the west, but as it became closer, i could see it had no blinking we normally associate with aircraft, it then stopped & hovered over the bridge, & a pulsating reddish green light glowing from dim then to bright etc, i could see a series of white lights coming from the upper half of the craft, it was completely silent the whole of the time which was approx 45 secs, it then moved south towards the centre of warrington & i lost sight of it, incidently... i had called into Mc donalds, parked up alongside the honda dealership as i viewed it, it was a visual experience i shall never forget! i wonder if anyone else saw this?

Is this really all the Guardian has to offer? Half expecting to see an article about how a bloke has been seen scratching his backside.

They'll be looking for somewhere to park that doesn't cost an arm and a leg!!

Now normally I would laugh at stuff like this, but a few weeks ago whilst waiting for our taxi to pick us up to go to the airport in Ibiza...guess what we saw?? Something the same colour but much higher into the sky, moving at rediculous speeds and turning at impossible angles. Lost sight of it a few times over about 1 hour but it kept coming back. The final time it stopped moving just to the right of orions belt and next to it there was a small flash. As we sat there with our mouths wide open and gobsmacked... another one had appeared. They moved around for about 30 secs..there was another flash...and then they were both gone. So, if anyone was in Ibiza on 11th September at around 6 am and saw this I would love to know if anyone managed to see it too. None of us beleived in UFO's till we saw this. Now bring on your snide comments if you like, you non beleivers ;)

My wife and I saw a formation of 3 red lights at about 9:30pm in the sky moving southeast. We went outside and there was no noise such as helicopters or planes make.
As the passed over they were no longer visible.
Later at about 10:00 there were more red lights and these totalled about 11 individual points. Again outside we could hear no sound and they passed over.
