SHOPPERS in search of a bargain are invited to pop into the new YMCA store on Bridge Street – and do their bit to help the charity’s work in Warrington.
The shop, which has taken over the old Stationary Box store, has a range of second-hand goods for sale.
Irene Smith, assistant manager, said: “We’ve got clothes, books, toys, videos, DVDs, CDs, records, furniture and electrical items – you name it we sell it!"
A percentage of everything sold at the shop goes towards the YMCA on Winmarleigh Street.
The YMCA is a leading Christian charity committed to supporting all young people, particularly in times of need.
Trescka Craib, shop manager, said: “We opened about eight weeks ago now but we didn’t have a major opening or anything like that.
“I don’t think Bridge Street is as busy as it used to be any more, so we just want to make people more aware of where we are, because there is a YMCA in town that does a lot of good work around Warrington.”
The shop is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday.
