A TALENTED beauty student has wowed judges with her skills to receive an award at a national ceremony.
Warrington Collegiate student Melanie Hague, aged 18, from Grappenhall, won a Gold First Award in her category and is currently studying for an advanced nail technology certificate.
She said: “To win an award in a national competition gives me so much confidence in what I have learned at the Collegiate.”
Melanie had been competing against students and professionals from across the country, some of whom have been working in the industry for more than seven years.
Michelle Broster, lecturer in beauty therapy at Warrington Collegiate, said: “Everyone at the Collegiate is so proud of what Melanie has achieved.
“There was strong competition from people with far more experience so it really reflects the hard work she put in.”
