PAUL Rauhihi has been sent a warning letter by the RFL after a 'potentially dangerous' tackle during Wolves' Challenge Cup defeat at St Helens.
Rauhihi appeared to twist the arm of James Roby into an awkward position in the 60th minute of the fifth-round tie, although the tackle was not penalised during the match.
The RFL video panel have reviewed the incident and say it is a 'potentially dangerous technique', although they have opted to send a warning letter rather than calling the Kiwi prop to a disciplinary hearing.
The RFL appear to be taking a close look at all potentially dangerous tackles in the wake of Clint Newton's recent 'chicken wing' tackle for Hull KR.
Mark Gleeson will face no further action after the video panel reviewed footage of a 'dangerous throw' in the second minute of the game.
Gleeson appeared to commit a spear tackle but again the incident was not penalised at the time and the panel decided that the Saints player was 'brought to ground in a controlled manner'.
