THE trial of the man accused of murdering Christopher Lamberth, which was set to start on Tuesday, has been adjourned until October to allow for legal arguments.
Paul Holcroft, aged 24, of Grace Avenue in Orford denied stabbing the 20-year-old on the eve of his 21st birthday, last November 18 at his home on Manchester Road.
Holcroft appeared at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday for the first day of what was listed as a five day trial before a High Court judge.
But Holcroft's defence delivered a last minute unexpected twist to the trial that led to its adjournment until October 13.
