HAVE you ever dreamed of saying your I do's' with the Golden Gates of Warrington Town Hall as your backdrop?
Well now those dreams can come true because the historic hall has become the latest venue in the town licensed to hold civil marriages, civil partnerships and other civil ceremonies.
The Sankey Street building boasts grand mosaic floors and coats of arms to give any wedding photographs an added regal touch to the big day.
And now the hall, built in 1750, joins 12 other venues across the town that are licensed to hold the different civil ceremonies.
Diana Terris, Warrington Borough Council's chief executive, said: "I am thrilled that our picturesque Town Hall can now be used for civil ceremonies. It is such a beautiful building and where better for a couple to spend the happiest day of their lives?"
But couples looking to tie the knot have a wide choice of venues to choose from including Walton Hall and Lymm Hall.
Peter Walker, executive member for corporate services, said: "I would urge anyone who is thinking of tying the knot to find out more about the range of venues and services on offer in Warrington."
l For more information on holding a civil ceremony at the town hall call Warrington Register Office on 442762.
