ETHAN's Journey has had a boost of £4,000 after the Trigger Pond pub on Liverpool Road, Sankey donated the money.
Staff hosted family days and a charity head shave and are soon to hold a charity raffle as well, all in aid of the charity.
A helping hand from Marstons Inns and Taverns, which own the Trigger Pond, gave the pub an extra £2,500 to present to Ethan.
"It's great when we get such fantastic help from Marston's" said a delighted Val Wood, manager of the Trigger Pond.
The Trigger Pond chose to help Ethan Connolly because the mother of a member of staff works at the nursery Ethan attends.
She got to know the family and asked the pub for help.
"We're more than happy to do everything we can," said Val.
"Ethan is such a lovely little boy. He's worth every minute of the time we spend and every penny of the money we raise."
Ethan has a lymphatic disorder which causes cysts to grow on his face and body.
He needs operations to remove them but the NHS cannot fund them until he is older.
So far the Ethan's Journey campaign has raised more than £50,000.
