Rylands Sharks A 54 Latchford Albion A 2.

A STRONG Rylands A team including seven first-team players overwhelmed Latchford A in the Carlsberg Tetley Alliance Cup Final at Gorsey Lane on Saturday.

Ben Fawcett's early penalty put Latchford, who included former Warrington Wolves prop Gary Tees, ahead but Rylands then scored 54 unanswered points.

Another ex-Wolves player, Mark Forster, scored the first of Sharks' 11 tries after receiving a pass from son Chris, who is set to play for Rochdale Hornets in National League Two during 2008, with Sam Brinksman converting.

Gary Hewitt then extended the lead before Mark and Chris Forster both crossed and captain Glyn Haddrell also touched down.

Further tries from Hayden James and player of the match Danny Shaw made it 30-2 at half time, with Brinksman and Jimmy Forster adding tries after the interval, while Danny Forster grabbed a brace.
