TWO dogs are in need of rehoming at a Grappenhall centre.

Cheshire Dogs' Home is appealing for help to find a home for its 'cross-breed poster girls' who are typical of the residents at the rescue centre.

Lexi arrived at the home in January after being found stray in January. Since then she has come out of her shell and adores people.

Naomi arrived in December, also having been found stray. Staff describe her as a fun-loving, bouncy girl with a waggly tail and a toothy smile.

Home manager Anna Stansfield says: “Rescue centres are full of cross-breed dogs with unknown background stories, and especially dogs who are part staffie or bull breed like Lexi and Naomi.

"In spite of them making great companions, the number of them in rescue centres means that those dogs often struggle to get noticed by visitors.

"They do steal the hearts of our staff and volunteers, though, and our message to members of the public looking to foster or adopt a rescue dog is: don’t overlook the lovely cross-breeds.”

Anyone interested in adopting Lexi or Naomi should call Cheshire Dogs’ Home on 0844 502 1212.
