ORGANISERS of The English Half Marathon have teamed up with the Village Hotel to offer exclusive deals in its anniversary year.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the popular race which promises entertainment across the weekend of September 14 to 16.

The Village Hotel, based on Centre Park, will be hosting the EHM Pasta Party on Saturday, September 15 between 5pm and 7pm.

The pasta party is a great way for runners to get together pre-race, meet the pacing team plus chat with some of the race crew. Tickets are available via the EHM website.

The hotel will also be present at the GS Active Lifestyle Expo, which will be held in Golden Square’s Old Fish Market Square on the Friday and Saturday of race week.

The expo, supported by Golden Square, is another addition to the running weekend.

Rob Griffiths, race director, said “We are pleased to have the Village Hotel on board, the hotel will be offering our runners exclusive offers for the hotel and the gym.

"We will also be holding social runs from the hotel, which will be a great way to get runners together pre-race for training tips and a run around the area.

"Our pasta party was a huge success in 2017, so I hope with the support of the Village we can make this year even better.”

With more than 20,000 people set the visit the town this EHM from all across the country, the event is now a staple in the town’s calendar.

Places are limited across all distances so runners are urged to sign up quickly or face missing out.
