A MUM from Runcorn is set to put her best foot forward for a cause close to her heart.

Joanne Quinn has set herself a fundraising target of £515 for her first half marathon to raise funds for Child Bereavement UK.

The charity support families and educates professionals when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child is facing bereavement.

Joanne said: "I wanted to set myself a running challenge as I don’t run and doing a half marathon will get my fitness up.

"I wanted to pick a local charity that helps people in my community, I also work with vulnerable children and have experience with Child Bereavement UK.’

Sebastian Farrell, senior fundraising manager for Child Bereavement UK in Cheshire, said: "This year’s half marathon is going to be bigger and better than ever, and it’s taking place in my home town of Warrington.

"We’d love more people like Joanne to take part in the event which also has 10k and one-mile long routes."
