GREEN-FINGERED youngsters from a nursery school got to grips with a variety of different plants to make some special decorations.
Children from Crank Nursery School, based on Crank Hill, used different types of flowers to decorate their own wellington boots.
And the children won the praises for their efforts of a panel of judges, which formed part of the Crank In Bloom event.
A Crank Nursery spokesperson said: “As you can see the children thoroughly enjoyed getting green fingered using a variety of plants to decorate their own wellingtons.
“We feel this demonstrates positive contribution to the local community and supports the children to understand how important it is to be involved with their local surroundings.
The children were surprised by a visit fro local judges who shared their delight at what the children had produced.”
The children greeted the local judges and spoke with them about the work they had done.
