PENKETH girl Angela Parsons has completed her air stewardess training - beating off competition from around 100 other girls to land a coveted place with an airline.
Angela, 21, from The Park, was a friend of Kelly Anne Palmer, the trainee air stewardess from Longford who died in a car crash near Manchester Airport last year.
Angela's dad Martin said: "Angela had persuaded Kelly Anne to become an air hostess so she went through a lot of soul searching after the accident.
"However, in the past year Angela passed her driving test and managed to beat off competition from around the world to become an air hostess on a three year contract with Etihad Airlines based in Abu Dhabi."
Angela went to Penketh High School and previously worked for Wire FM.
