PUPILS from a Latchford school have been raising the profile of sport and fitness by taking part in a health and wellbeing week.
The government suggests that children should complete around an hour of active exercise per day, with 30 minutes being in school and 30 minutes at home.
In a bid to encourage physical activity both at school and at home, staff at St Augustine's RC Primary School, on Henshall Avenue, Latchford dedicated a full week to health and wellbeing where youngsters tried a range of activities, including yoga, fencing and scooter training.
They also looked at the various ways the children can be healthy through eating choices, with a special visit from Warburton's who helped make healthy sandwiches.
