To mark Ben Westwood's 500th game of professional rugby league, expected to be for Warrington Wolves at Wigan Warriors on Friday, supporters have been sharing their special memories of the Wire star on social media.

Frank Hawley: My first memory (there have been thousands of positive ones since) of Bennie was as a touch judge in February 2002 when he played for Wakefield in a Challenge Cup Tie versus Widnes at the Halton Stadium....Bennie was sent off....unfortunately NOT an obvious case of mistaken identity!! What a hard-working and entertaining player and servant to the Warrington club he has been over those years since. 500 games is a massive achievement; many congratulations Bennie! May Friday be a day for you to remember!
