DISRUPTION is expected between Warrington Bank Quay and Chester after a fire near to the railway track on Slutcher's Lane.
Firefighters from Warrington and Lymm attended at around 11am, where they initially used water and beaters to fight the large grass fire.

A water shuttle was put in place to get water to the area and firefighters are working alongside Network Rail staff.
Due to its close proximity to the railway track, the track was closed while firefighters dealt with the incident.
The line between Warrington Bank Quay and Chester has reopened but delays and cancellations are expected until around 7.30pm.

Train services running through these stations may be cancelled or delayed.
