A POPULAR florist is hoping to trace the lucky finder of a bouquet of flowers she hid as part of International Lonely Bouquet day.

The day sees florists hide bouquets within their community in a bid to brighten a stranger's day with flowers.

As part of the initiative on Saturday Rachel Peers, who runs La Beau Fleurs from her home in Paddington, hid three bunches around Padgate, Bruche and Woolston.

And the mum-of-one caused quite a stir on Facebook that morning, as she hinted at their secret locations, with more than 10,000 people viewing her post.

"News came in at 8.40am that Clare Mannion-Armitage had been the first to find a bouquet hidden in St Oswald's School car park on Padgate Lane," said 43-year-old Rachel, who hid the flowers at 5am that day.

"At 10am I was thrilled when Emma Smith, who had been searching all morning, found the second bouquet in the grounds of the Church of the Ascension in Woolston.

"I was eagerly awaiting news of the final bouquet which was behind the post box at Green Lane Shops, in Bruche, but nothing."

Rachel said other 'searchers' recognised the location from her social media clues, and were able to confirm that the bouquet had been found before 8am – but who found them remains a mystery.

She said: "I would love to know who found the bouquet. If it was you or somebody you know please get in touch and let me know your story."
