Dip in the pool?

While the weather is helping to make it feel like we're away on a summer holiday, we're still missing a nice pool to dip our toes in...until now.

Here's three outdoor pools you can try this summer:

Marbury Pool - near Northwich

Warrington Guardian:

Within the grounds of Marbury Country Park near Northwich, the pool is set in lawned gardens and is surrounded by woodlands.

The pool is unheated and features two diving boards - a springboard and the a platform board.

There is also a childrens' paddling pool, small play area and picnic tables around the grounds.

The pool opens daily from the beginning of May until the end of August.

In June, July and August the pools 12 to 7pm with pool members being allowed entry from 11am.

Sundays are for members only and no day tickets will be sold.

Day tickets are available from Monday to Saturday to buy on the gate and are priced at £8 for adults and £5 for children.

Only members are guaranteed entry to the pool all day, every day which costs £60.

On busy days, day tickets may sell out.

To stand the best chance of buying a day ticket during the peak summer period, the pool recommends arriving at 12pm.

Nantwich Outdoor Pool

Warrington Guardian:

The outdoor pool first opened to the public on the 1st July 1935 and the pool water temperature is now maintained at 74°F but can get warmer in the sun.

Morning and afternoon sessions have been introduced this year to ensure everyone can enjoy the pool during busy periods.

A spokesman added: "Users will be able to attend a morning or afternoon season.

"If someone wishes to attend the afternoon session after their morning session, they will be required to join the queue to gain entry.

"Customers will not be able to purchase a morning and afternoon session at the same time.

"When the pool reaches maximum bathing load, the centre will be operating a one out / one in system."

Morning sessions start at 9.30am on a Saturday and 10am on a Sunday and finish at 1pm. The afternoon session starts at 1.30pm and finishes at 5pm.

It costs £5 for adults and £4.20 for juniors.
