FIREFIGHTERS across Warrington attended two separate road traffic collisions within an hour yesterday, Friday.

One crew from Birchwood was called to a crash involving two cars on Woolston Grange Avenue at around 5.50pm.

On arrival the team found that there were no persons trapped.

They assisted by making both the vehicles safe and provided first aid to two casualties at the scene.

Both were then passed to the care of North West Ambulance Service.

Crews were in attendance for approximately 15 minutes.

Later at around 6.30pm, firefighters from Warrington and Lymm were called to reports of a crash on Manchester Road in Woolston.

On arrival they found incident involved one van and one car, with one casualty trapped in the van.

Crews released the casualty from the van and he, along with a second casualty, was passed to the care of paramedics.

The team were at scene for approximately 35 minutes.
