ARE you proud to live in Warrington?

During our recent survey, readers made it clear to us the stories they prefer to read in our newspaper and online are positive, happy stories about the town they live in.

And so with that in mind, this week we’ve launched our #WonderfulWarrington Facebook group.

Click here to join or search for #WonderfulWarrington in Facebook groups.

This will be a place celebrating everything the town has to offer and the residents that make it so wonderful.

Only positive comments will be encouraged to match the content in the group.

It will also be a home for upcoming events in the town and a place families can share their top tips for days or meals out in Warrington.

SURVEY: 56% of readers say they like Warrington but there's 'room for improvement'

Hayley Smith, Warrington Guardian editor, said: "It's been really fascinating getting an insight into how readers feel about the town they live in.

"While it was no surprise that traffic was the thing that people hate the most, the survey also highlighted there was a lot for residents to be proud of.

"A quarter of readers told us Warrington people were the best thing about the town while the second most popular response was the future with readers looking forward to the cinema and Bridge Street development opening.

"We hope our new Facebook group will be the home of plenty more exciting developments in the town and bring our readers together."

Give it a try and let us know what you think.
