VANDALS set fire to a children’s play area in Lymm late last night.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called Ridgeway Grundy Memorial Park on Maltmans Road at around 11.45pm yesterday, Thursday.
One fire engine was sent to tackle the blaze, with play equipment and rubber flooring having been set alight.
Crews spent around 25 minutes tackling the fire, which is believed to have been started deliberately.
