AFTER the win over Wigan, we have made it into the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup and we have already seen huge appetite for the game.

To date, we have sold more than 6,000 tickets for the game against Leeds at the Macron Stadium in Bolton.

So we have already surpassed the total sales from the past three semi-finals Warrington have been in, Wakefield in 2016, Hull KR in 2015 and Leeds in 2014.

It would be great to sell out the end behind the sticks with Warrington Wolves supporters.

The players and the coaches commented on the tremendous atmosphere in the quarter final and said what a difference it makes to the players.

If we can get the same in the semi final and pack the end out, it will help us to get to Wembley.

To get a final total of more than 7,500 fans would be fantastic.

We don’t want to get too far ahead of ourselves but getting to a Challenge Cup final can really help the bottom line in terms of ticket revenue and merchandise sales.

But it is so much more than that.

I have been involved in Wembley finals with this club before, both winning and losing and they are special occasions.

Steve Price, head coach, has spoken about it as he remembers getting up in the middle of the night to watch the games when he was younger in Australia.

So the players and the coaches are determined to get there.
It is a fantastic turnaround from last season.

We want to keep pushing for that top four and to be challenging for silverware next season.

And that is with a whole new coaching set up and new players.

Last week saw Robert Elstone hold his first press conference as the new chief executive of Super League.

It is an exciting time for Super League and in Robert we have a fantastic operator with a fantastic reputation across sport.

He is going to add a lot to Super League. He is going to be focused on improving the competition for the good of all levels of the sport.

We are very supportive of him and believe he will make a real positive difference commercially, financially and in terms of improving the sport.

Looking ahead to next season and we have already got Jason Clark on board. I have spoken to him and he cannot wait to get started here when he has finished with Souths.

He will be fantastic for the club and our culture.

It is also exciting to have two Warrington born and bred players signed up too in Dec Patton and Harvey Livett.
