Fire at Westy Park
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a report of a tree stump being on fire at Mersey Walk this afternoon, Tuesday.
Crews arrived at around 12pm to find a deep seated fire in a large tree in woodland at Westy Park in Latchford.
One fire engine from Ellesmere Port attended where they used water to extinguish the fire.
The surrounding area was also damped down to make it safe.
Firefighters were in attendance for around 50 minutes.
