FIREFIGHTERS tackled a fire involving a wooden hut in Appleton yesterday, Monday.
Crews from Lymm and Penketh were called to Barleycastle Lane at around 4.20pm where they found controlled burning in a large hut had got out of control.
The team used two hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze.
A mechanical digger was also used to spread some of the debris to make it easier for firefighters to put out the fire.
Firefighters were in attendance for around an hour.
