FIREFIGHTERS tackled a fire on a play area in Padgate on Friday night.
Crews were called to the park on Valiant Close at 6.45pm to the fire which involved school books.
Later that evening firefighters were called to Barnard Street, Great Sankey, at 10.30pm following reports of blaze involving three wheelie bins on the industrial estate.
