TAKE That frontman Gary Barlow publicly thanked music mogul Simon Moran for his support during his solo tour in a post on social media.

The former X Factor judge was pictured posing with a plaque alongside Mr Moran, who is a lifelong fan and owner of Warrington Wolves and a former Woolston High School pupil.

Posting on his personal Facebook account, the singer-songwriter shared the photograph with his 313,000 followers.

He said: “I love a plaque! Thank you to my friend and promoter Simon for this brilliant tour #gbsolo2018.”

Mr Moran’s company SJM Concerts organises more than 2,000 concerts a year.

This includes the likes of including The Stone Roses, Take That, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Muse, Robbie Williams, Peter Kay, Mrs Brown's Boys, Adele, The Killers, Arctic Monkeys and Little Mix as well as festival such as Parklife and V Festival.

He was also one of the driving forces behind the One Love concert after the Manchester Arena terrorist attack where 22 people were killed by a suicide bomber as they left an Ariana Grande gig.
