A TEAM of housing workers have triumphed over eight other organisations to win an industry award.

The LifeTime team, run by Warrington Housing Association (WHA), won the resident support and advice programme category at the Northern Housing Awards.

David Cummins, WHA chief executive, said: We are delighted to have won the award and I would like to thank all of our LifeTime team for all their efforts in making life better for not only our residents – but the wider community of Warrington as well.”

The team provides more than 60 activities including a camera club and exercise classes. They also provide advice and social events every week across the borough, for people in their 50s and above.

It has been described as a youth club for the elderly, but also a real lifeline by some of its members and their families.
