MONTHS of repair works are planned for a railway bridge.
Crews have been seen working on Arpley Railway Bridge, near to the town centre, in the past few weeks.
And the repairs are set to last until August.
Timbers and rail track will be replaced on the bridge over the Mersey.
A spokesman for Network Rail said: "We are replacing timbers and installing new rails across Arpley Railway Bridge.
"There is no disruption to passenger services, as the railway line is for freight.
"The work is expected to finish by the beginning of August."
