COULD it really be coming home?
We’ve picked out nine of the best places in Warrington to catch all of the action.
From free beer to giant TV screens, here are a few perfect venues across town to cheer on England when they take on Sweden in the quarter finals of the World Cup on Saturday at 3pm.
The Old Market Place
A giant TV screen in Golden Square Shopping Centre will be showing all of the game’s from the 2018 World Cup.
And if football’s not your bag, a series of family films and tennis from Wimbledon will also be screened in the Old Market Place.

Postern Gate
An old favourite for sports fans, the Postern Gate will again have all the action on the big screen in its beer garden.
Perfect if the sun continues to shine.
Austin’s Ball Room
The new kid on the block, Austin’s boasts three projectors and four large HD TVs to catch all the action on.
And if the game’s rubbish then you can always enjoy a frame on one of the sports bar’s four pool tables.
The Butchers Arms/the Cat and Lion/the Golden Fleece/the Plough
These Greene King pubs will all be offering a FREE pint of beer during matches over the next month.
What’s more, ‘Unbeerlievable’ has been specially brewed by legendary football pundit Chris Kamara.
The Lord Rodney
Usually a pub of choice for Warrington Wolves fans, attention will turn to the round ball game this summer.
All matches will be shown live, with happy hour deals on during England matches.
The Village Hotel
We included the Village Hotel solely because we enjoyed their signs advertising the games – well played guys!
