A TOWN centre barbers is hosting a charity day to raise money for the mental health organisation MIND.
Lords of the North, based on Barbauld Street, has booked an entertaining Elvis impersonator for the event on Saturday, in a bid to raise money and awareness for male mental health.
Cheryl Charnock, salon owner, said: "As a barber over the many years, I have come to realise that a lot of guys explain that they suffer with anxiety and depression that they will not even discuss with their family or friends.
"I thought it was about time to raise awareness for MIND and hold this charity event.
"Perhaps by holding this event men may come to understand that is ok and healthy to reach out."
The event is free to attend and people are encouraged to drop in between 1pm and 4pm a pop a donation in the bucket.
Cheryl added: "Maybe get your hair cut and enjoy a beverage."
