MOTORISTS are experiencing severe delays on the M62 this morning after a lorry left the carriageway and overturned.
Two lanes of the westbound carriageway are currently closed between junction 11 at Birchwood and junction 12 at Eccles as recovery specialists attempt to remove the lorry.
The lorry driver was taken to hospital after suffering what are believed to be minor injuries during the serious accident.
Repair work is also due to take place on the motorway barrier, with warnings of long delays on the approach.
