AS NEIGHBOURHOOD Weekender approaches we spoke to teen makeup sensation Georgia Rankin on how to achieve the hottest festival looks this summer.

The 19-year-old YouTube star from Callands has a cult following of more than 100,000 subscribers and has been showing off her skills as a qualified makeup artist to give readers some festival inspiration.

Georgia donned cute space buns, which she says are perfect for keeping hair off your face and neck over the sunny bank holiday weekend.

She says it is possible to achieve the perfect makeup look without breaking the bank, with a focus on bold colours and plenty of highlighter and glitter from high street brands.

Georgia said: “I’m using the NYX Professional Makeup Palette in Brights, I love how pigmented it is, you only need to use a small amount.”

The blue shade adds a pop of colour to any outfit and Georgia added depth to the eyelid with a deeper shade of blue. False lashes create a more defined eye and Georgia added a line of blue glitter along her brow bone.

“What’s a festival without glitter?” she said, recommending Primark’s collection of face glitter glue as an affordable must-have.

Highlighter can be swept across cheekbones and nose for a summery glow, while a primer and waterproof mascara will keep makeup in one place.

Spending hours in the open air with variable weather can take a toll on your makeup’s durability but makeup guru Georgia Rankin is here to help.

Georgia is a lover of bright colours and says you can never wear too much highlighter.

She said: “You want to create a dewy look to make you glow and The Balm Mary LouManizer is my go-to for this.”

For dramatic eyes, Georgia adds Urban Decay Perversion mascara on top of her false eyelashes. As a base, she uses Mac Studio Fix foundation, a staple in full-coverage looks. But what about those of us who aren’t as makeup savvy?

The 19-year-old created an easy, quick look on Guardian reporter Isobel Cotogni, with a bold red eye, blended with pinks from NYX’s £16 palette.

Primark’s glitter gel is the perfect cheap option for a classic festival vibe and a few dots on cheekbones will last through hours of dancing.

Georgia is Britain’s tiniest teen and starred in the documentary 30 Inches Tall and Turning 18: Extraordinary People.

Her dream is to be represented by a talent agency as her YouTube career takes off.
