CAN you help us to identify some of the young footballers in this picture.
Peter Hampton, from Warrington, has been in touch with Yester Years to send us this image of Appleton Rovers football team based at Appleton Thorn from the 1948-49 season.
He says the team won both the cup and the league in that remarkable season.
Peter is picture second from the right on the back row and Roy Cummins is first on the left on the back rom with Arthur Antrobus, third from the left and kneeling.
But do you recognise anyone else?
Peter said: “I am now 85 years old and I suspect some of them will have passed away although I hope not, any information anyone can provide would be much appreciated.”
