A MAN was taken into the care of paramedics after a house fire broke out in the early hours of this morning, Friday.
Firefighters were called to a house on Worsborough Avenue in Great Sankey at 12.10am.
On arrival crews discovered that smoke alarms were sounding and all persons were accounted for.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
A covering jet was also set up.
Once the fire was out crews used a large high pressure fan to remove the smoke from the property.
A man suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation was passed over to the care of paramedics.
Four fire engines were in attendance for around two hours.
