A DEFENDANT threatened to find a judge's house and burn it down if he was not released immediately, Warrington Crown Court heard yesterday, Wednesday.

Wesley Leicester also said he would come up from the cells covered in his own excrement.

He did not carry out his threat - though at a previous hearing he had exposed his genitals while standing in the dock.

Leicester had previously pleaded guilty to common assault and sexual assault after luring a teenage boy back to his flat then kissing him and slapping him.

Judge Stephen Clarke took Leicester's threat with a pinch of salt.

He said: "I will have to make sure my house insurance is kept up to the full extent so that if he does do it, I can go outside and rub my hands."

Leicester's crimes only merit a sixth-month sentence, the court heard.

But the claims he has made to probation and medical staff mean that they asked for him to be either sectioned or given an indefinite jail sentence for the sake of public protection.

The 18-year-old has said he plans to pose as a social worker to try to abduct children for their own safety, that he cross-dresses as a woman called Katy', that he has given birth to a boy, that he starts fires, is capable of murder, carries knives, has attacked lone women and has downloaded child pornography.

Leicester's previous convictions actually only amount to attempted robbery and affray.

Judge Clarke and Leicester's defence are keen to see if he can be offered a care package rather than simply jailed and sentencing was adjourned for a second time.

A psychologist said he does not believe Leicester is mentally ill but may have anti-social personality disorder - making him what is also called a sociopath.

Judge Clarke asked for more medical reports and said: "The lack of provision for mentally ill adolescents in this country is an absolute disgrace.

"Beds are few and far between."

Leicester lived for a time at the council's youth home in Howley and his last known address was Wilderspool Causeway.

The case was adjourned until September 17.
