WOLVES are “still not 100 per cent” about Ben Currie’s knee injury as he looks set to see a consultant later this week.

The England international limped out of Saturday’s 54-6 Challenge Cup win over Bradford Bulls with an injury to the same knee on which he had major surgery after a cruciate knee ligament injury in 2016.

“He’s seeing the surgeon on Thursday, so we’ll know more then,” Wire head coach Steve Price said.

“As of now, we’re still not 100 per cent about the outcome.”

More positive injury news comes in the shape of Ben Murdoch-Masila, who Price said will feature in Friday’s Super League game against Huddersfield Giants after missing the past three games with a knee injury.

Mike Cooper will be given as much time as possible to overcome a hamstring injury, but Dom Crosby will again miss out with an ankle knock.

“This week is too soon for Dom. He’s still got the protective boot on his foot but he’s doing the right things,” Price said.

“Coops is doing everything right as well. We’ll give him up to game day as he’s normally a quick healer.

“Benny Murdoch will definitely play.

“He’s had two full training sessions with the team this week and has done a fair amount of rehab running. He’s ready and raring to go.”

Price names his 19-man squad for the game tomorrow, Wednesday.
