BEER

Knutsford Beer Festival, Egerton Youth Club, Friday and Saturday

Warrington Guardian:

CRAFT beer fans will be heading to Knutsford at the weekend to sample from a selection of more than 40 ales from the north west and further afield.

Knutsford Beer Festival is hoping to stand out from the crowd with its new keg bar run by Mobberley Brewhouse.

It will feature modern beer styles from some of the UK’s newest and most progressive breweries like Wiper and True, Buxton Brewery, Track and Neon Raptor.

On top of that, Mobberley Brewhouse will be serving up Sofa Surfer, their new IPA made in collaboration with Manchester’s Shindigger brewery.

Serving beer from kegs is a method favoured by many craft brewers because it doesn’t need to be ‘conditioned’ in the barrel like a real ale.

But the festival will also feature 28 cask ales that will champion the north west’s real ale scene to cater for all beer lovers.

The casks will be cooled by Knutsford’s own Tatton Brewery for the perfect pint and the Tatton team are helping to set up and run the bar too.

Cider, small batch gin, wine and Prosecco will also be available.

A free shuttle bus will be running between Booths supermarket in Knutsford and Egerton Youth Club throughout the festival.

And we have teamed up with the event organisers to offer a 20 per cent discount on tickets for our readers.
