PLANNING permission has been submitted to Warrington Borough Council for the proposed demolition of a building at the former Barrow Hall Primary School site.
The plans seek to demolish the single-storey infants building which has since moved to the new site on Sophia Drive.
This includes the excavation of floor slabs and foundations.
The total area of the building is 1125sqm.
Documents state how an executive decision was made to apply for demolition of the building ‘prior to it falling into disrepair and becoming a dangerous structure’.
The plans explain how levels will be ‘re-graded and imported top soil and grass seed to be laid to the original footprint of the building’.
The proposed demolition, on Barrow Hall Lane, is set for Monday, July 30 and will last until Friday, August 24.
