INSPIRED after watching yesterday's London Marathon?
Today there's no excuse as women in Warrington are being offered £5 off entry fees for Race for Life 5k, 10k, Pretty Muddy, Half Marathon and and Hike events using the code MARA2018.
Women of all ages and abilities can take part in Race for Life at Victoria Park on May 6 where there will also be a Pretty Muddy Kids event for boys and girls aged five to 12 years.
And for those who want to push themselves further, Race for Life’s women-only half marathon will be taking place at a new event at Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire on July 22.
Sarah Hunter, Cancer Research UK’s Warrington Event Manager, said: “Many of us watch the Virgin Money London Marathon on TV and feel hugely motivated by the inspiring stories and unwavering determination of the participants.
"This year, we’re encouraging women to follow the lead of the marathon runners and take on their own fitness challenge by signing up to Race for Life in Warrington.
“Women of all shapes, sizes, ages and abilities can take part.
"Whether they’re planning a 5k walk with friends, a 10k jog or the challenge of a half marathon, it’s not about being first to the finish line; it’s about coming together to beat cancer sooner.”
