TWO lanes have opened on the M62 after a crash closed the motorway eastbound between Birchwood and the Eccles Interchange.
Long delays are still in place with one lane remaining closed and congestion is backed up to the Croft Interchange, junction 10.
There are currently seven mile tailbacks.
The accident between a van and a car happened this afternoon, Wednesday between junction 11 at Birchwood and junction 12 at Eccles.

Emergency services remain at the scene.
One of the vehicles involved has left the carriageway and come to rest against the grass verge to the side of the road.
